冬至,一向被中國(guó)人視為冬季中的重大節(jié)日,它不僅是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)“四時(shí)八節(jié)”之一,古代還有“冬至大如年”的說(shuō)法。
Winter Solstice has always been regarded as a major festival in winter by the Chinese. It is one of the traditional "Four Seasons and Eight Festivals" in China. In ancient times, there was also a saying - Winter Solstice is as important as Spring Festival.

此時(shí),太陽(yáng)正直射在南回歸線上,讓冬至成為北半球晝最短、夜最長(zhǎng)的一天。除了北吃餃子、南吃湯圓外,人們?cè)谶@一天還有“畫(huà)九”、釀米酒、祭祖宴飲的習(xí)慣。
On this day, the sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn, and gives the Northern Hemisphere the shortest day and longest night. In addition to eating dumplings in the north and eating glue puddings in the south, people also have the habit of "painting and counting", making rice wine and worshipping ancestors on this day.
